Singapore is a .... Fine City - Gardens on the Bay

Caught the MRT to the Gardens by the Bay. Wow!!!!!

The attraction was awesome. Firstly we went to the flower dome. The theme was Christmas Wonderland. There were gardens from Australia, South Africa, Chile. The baobabs were amazing.

They really know how to celebrate Christmas with amazing Christmas decorations in abundance throughout the dome. This complemented the amazingly beautiful wooden sculptures all over.

Then it was time for a break with tea, coffee and cake at Pollen, a stunning little coffee shop in the Flower Dome.

From the Flower Dome it was onto the second dome called Cloud Forest .
This dome was based on a forest. We started at the top of the "mountain" and walked our way down.
There were walkways that swing out from the mountain and hang over the ground below. Beautiful orchids, stunning sculptures, waterfalls.

Stalactite and Stalagmite display

The weather was bad so could not go on the skywalk, so it was back to the hotel at 18:00 and another swim before heading out for dinner.
Again we went into China town to the China town seafood restaurant for chili crab and beer.
And now experienced the first of many huge monsoon rain storms whilst we were there.

  1. Stalactite shouldn't have been removed from their place of habitat :) How will they survive?
